Description
Once a serene escape from the bustling North Shore, nowadays, during the winter months, the right break under the towering Turtle Bay Resort on the eastern rim of Kawela Bay emerges as a bustling surfing hub. While it may seem subdued compared to the renowned waves of the North Shore, Turtle Bay West can truly shine with a solid N swell, occasionally producing notable barrel sections. On the other hand, around the peninsula and along the eastern flank of the resort, Turtle Bay East comes alive with the arrival of a proper N or NW swell.
